    HP VICTUS 15-fa1093dx Blown Power IC

    Hi,

    I've had a little issue with this laptop. It had a charging issue, so I replaced the charge port and tried the old charger. It was clearly damaged, and the laptop started smoking. So I ordered a new charger and tested again, but no power, and upon further inspection I noticed a power management IC was blown.

    I just wanted to know if it was in any way fixable, considering it seems it may have burned layers of the board.

    I will attach two photos of the blown one and the seemingly good IC.

    Board rev DAG3PAMB8D0

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hi
    Is this IC near the CPU? I can't tell from the pictures
    AT00 = AOZ5016QI

    If that's the case, very likely CPU is dead
