Hello! I'm here to look for solutions to reset the EEPROM memory of a Lenovo E540 battery of 62Wh and 540mAh. I even bought a new one on the market (aftermarket BTIBM30) because I couldn't find an original one but it doesn't work. The laptop sees the percentage but blocks the battery charging probably because of the Chinese BMS. In the bios I don't have an option for the battery and I didn't find an older version (v1.57). I replaced the Lenovo BMS with Chinese cells but in windows it doesn't read the battery percentage and says it needs to be changed. I have 12v between D and the red wire.

Suggest highly to consider a known good replacement from your local Amazon stores. You will have the best form of consumer protection if the battery is a dud and fails to work for your case. You can return it back to Amazon. Alternatively, the attempt is a hack and somewhat a guarded secret. You can check the NLBA1 tool which may or maynot work for you so best to ping them for support. The tool is not inexpensive. -
Hi! I gave up. I came to the conclusion that it is best to find a battery or use the laptop only on the charger. It is not good to repair the BMS. Thanks for the advice!Comment

by ferah831208Hello guys, i need help with this problem, I have a NM-D041 mobo, it came with low impedance in 3v linear regulator rail, the cause was a damaged EC controller ITE8227e-192. I ordered a new one and replaced it. This laptop have a different chip for keyboard management and it8227e pins for programming ITE chips are not accesible through keyboard interface, I flashed it using i2c interface pins with vertyanov programmer because laptop was dead and SPI flash didn't have power (only 3v EC) so it couldn't access firmware stored in SPI memory. I read SPI and extracted it8227 firmware from original BIOS...

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -
by code shareHi everyone,
I'm having an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad P43s. The laptop does not power on when the internal battery is connected, but it works fine on AC power alone (battery disconnected). Once the battery is reconnected, the system becomes completely unresponsive — no lights, no fan spin, nothing.
Here's what I've tried so far:- Power/EC reset (held power button for 60 seconds with battery and AC disconnected)
- Booted successfully on AC power only with the battery disconnected
- Visual inspection of the battery — no swelling, burn marks, or connector damage

by mrkmpnHello, I have a customer that brought this laptop in after replacing his battery. He said his original battery charge was not lasting long, and after replacing the battery with one purchased from iFixit, the charging worked for about 30 minutes and then stopped, and the battery is no longer detected by windows.
This laptop powers on when the AC adapter is connected, and my USB-C multimeter shows current being used with both ports, but the charging light does not come on, and in Windows the battery icon shows an X as if there is no battery present. If I disconnect the AC adapter,... -
by pabloroggeriGood guys. I changed the battery to a Lenovo V310-15ISK.
The laptop worked perfectly, I changed the L15C4A02 battery because it didn't last very long.
When I connected the new battery, the charging LED stopped lighting up and the one next to the charging pin also did not react when I pressed the power button. Minutes before changing the battery it worked perfectly and stopped working after putting the new one in. Even if you put the oroginal battery in or connect it without the battery, no LED lights up when you press the power button nor does it give an image, nor does the... - Loading...
