G703GXR Dead CPU? shorted CPU power mofset replace, missing DRAMRST#

Hello friends,

I replace a shorted mofset (PU8104), now laptop is starting but no display, stopping at DRAMRST#.
Resistance to ground on PL8104 is around 1-2 ohm, quite low but voltage seems ok 0.995V

Any help would be appreciated it's a nice laptop !

Not gone thru bdv/schematic. So PU8104 is DRMOS for VCORE phase? If yes, no point troubleshooting unless u want to replace the CPU.

If what i assume is right, after replacing the DRMOS, laptop will get triggered with perfect normal behaviour and will seem like display is about to come but the wait never ends.

Observe the consumption pattern on dc supply and you'll realise its a loop.

If you can manage a compatible H cpu,its worth the effort if customer agrees.

However, its very difficult to get an H cpu with same specs and usually customer dont agree with the steep bill.

Personally, i've not replaced an H cpu yet though i've all the stencils.
