    Samsung NP300E4

    Laptop is running good but USB, Sound & couple of other devices are not detected in said laptop.
    Last time I fixed USB/Camera issue on Toshiba laptop in which some caps near ICH were missing.

    Is it problem with ICH, any ideas?

      you need to be 100% sure with usb and sound
      like with usb you need to test powered usb like usb hdds with power adapters.
      how many os did you try? did you do a bios update?
      Just cook it! It's already broken.

          I tried on minixp, linux, & windows 7 and even on BIOS usb is not detcted.
          5V is present on usb btw.

              do you know the symptom on a hp dv series?
              dvd goes off wifi goes off sound goes off because it needs reball or a new chipset.

              try a soft reflow and see.
              Just cook it! It's already broken.

                  I didn't knew about hp dv series becoz no such issue came to me yet.
                  I will try a soft reflow. Thanks for a clue btw.

                      Thi things have on work the southbridge. So try reflow it first.

                          Samsung UN70NU6900F no picture and no sound

                          Hi all

                          I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.



                          Symptom:
                          No picture no sound.
                          When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
                          No sound at all.



                          What I tried:
                          1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon...

                          so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

                          i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

                          this laptop has been done by other tech...he did replace new usb port but problem still persist and early problem is both usb port not detected thumbdrive but it does charging device/phone...i need help to diagnos this problem
