    A1707 sleeps @ stress

When I run Heaven for a couple of minutes the computer does not shut off I believe it sleeps..
Because when I plug the power back on; the loading bar on the bottom loads. I remember this bar used to come when the battery drains and writes stuff on SSD rather than memory.
Anyway, I tried another battery; same stuff.
When its plugged in; it does not happen..
Tried with screen off, Touch Bar off; issue repeats itself..
Found little corrosion on C4237 (PP1V8_SLEEP3_BUCK3)..
    Replaced cap; same issue..
I replaced the whole SoC PMU (U4200); same thing..
I took diode mode readings on all bucks around PMU..
Kinda stuck.. I don't like replacing the T1 just based on a hunch..

    Hello,

I am looking for the boardview file and the matching schematics (PDF) for the following MacBook Pro:
    • Model: A1707
    • 15-inch, Mid 2017
    • 3.1 GHz Core i7
    • 16 GB RAM
    • Radeon Pro 560
    • 1 TB SSD
    • Board number: 820-00928-A
I already searched the forum, but so far I haven’t found a matching boardview for this board. In several posts I came across, it was also mentioned that the uploaded files were often incorrect.

    Thanks in advance!

    Greetings from Germany...

    A1707 - No internal display
    by obelix24
I got two Macbook's Pro 15" A1707 both fully working except no image on internal LCD.

I've checked and it looks like it's problem with U9850 (on both pin 1 on screen connector is 0.007 or 0.050 in diode mode)

My question is if this IC can be ordered from Aliexpress (will it work) ?? or it needs to be taken directly from donor (a1707, a1990, a2141) ?

Is this IC interchangeable (on my board i have 6142E and i found that there can be also HD3SS212) are this chips same ? ? Is it possible to find this IC on some other Macbook 13" (air, pro) ?? i have...

    A1707 820 281 jumps from 5v -16v on amp meter then restarts
    by jma46
Hi sorry to Hijack this thread, I have an A1707 820 281 which jumps from 5v -16v on amp meter then restarts, I have checked big coils for shorts, ppbus and all seems ok. Im thinking there is a short which is causing it to reboot but I'm out of ideas? Also another A1707 where the internal SSD is not showing in terminal or disk utility? No excessive heat from SSD chips?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

MacBook Pro A1707 820-00928-A No power not turning on or charging
    by TimScrawn
Got a very strange one here. Got an A1707 that came in dead no power. Plugged into amp meter and get 5v and then power cycles. After removing the board from the housing, I get 5v on all 4 ports with no amp draw, but it stays at 5v. I then check all rails:

    PPBUS_G3H - 2.3v - Not shorted (1.8 megaohms)
    PP3V3_G3H - 3.3v
    PP1V8_UPC - 1.8v
    PP3V3_UPC - 3v3v
    D6902 - 3.3v on pin 1 & 3

I then saw these readings and thought, classic ISL9239 issue

Removed ISL and replaced with donor board. Mac powered up to 20v and drew around 300mah
