    Yes, it will work fine.

But it is recommended to replace with G86-631-A2, manufactured in 2009 or 2010 (look for a string in the format 09xxA2 or 10xxA2 printed on the top-right side of the die). The G86-631-A2 is a fixed revision chip and will not fail again.

as the unique said chip sould be ok. as i can suggest , ill go for the g86-630-a2

      like this one:

      http://www.ebay.it/itm/100-Brand-New...item35ca2e3ebe

6.5 euro for one bga, and add 18$ for express dhl ship. (5-8 day, 3-5 day is 30$.)

if u want the g86-631-a2 e-best got ir but more expensive, like 16 euro 1 bga chip.

i have to order from goldenchipset seller about 150€ of bga and some ic

already did a big order of 320 dollar from e-best

g86-631-a2 2012 version is 10.5 euro from goldenchipset.

maybe as the unique has for sure more experience then me ... go fot that 631 at 10.5€

          http://www.ebay.it/itm/G86-631-A2-BG...item35ca1cede7

but one is 6.5, the other 10.5 ... is 10.5€ worth its money?

            Re: NVIDIA G86-630-A2 replacement

The 2012 or 2013 labeled G8x chips are fake. They have their original print removed either chemically or physically (simply sanding them off). Then they are printed with new datecodes... Those chips are most likely from the bad 07 and 08 lots.

They haven't been made since 2010 AFAIK. 09 and 10 datecodes are the only ones that will guarantee you a headache-free repair.

                  Re: NVIDIA G86-630-A2 replacement

The Chinese will do anything to sell their crap. I honestly doubt that nVidia still makes those - they lost enough money as it stands.

Well, i guess for that price, it is worth a shot... Just beware of obvious fakes like photoshopped pics on ebay where they just (obviously) edit the text on the chip in the picture only, and you receive something else. Seen quite a bunch of those.

Also keep in mind that most chinese dudes that sell chips on ebay are just resellers, they all get their chips from bigger suppliers so it's entirely possible that they simply do not have a clue. When one of those large suppliers scams, the whole chain below them is affected.
