Hi everyone,
I have an HP 250 G7 for assistance. I've changed the battery (the old was dead) with a not-original.
It has a particular behaviour that I've never seen:
With the lid open, the voltage is present on the relative pins. Upon a time I close the lid, after 5-10 sec. the voltage drops down to 0. If I re-open the lid, the battery keeps stuck in this situation. I have to connect the power supply to "resurrect" the battery. In this way, I can power on the laptop without any problem and also use it without the power cord. If i shutdown the laptop, keeps it with the lid open and try to power up, it works perfectly.
I've tried with another old original battery that I have (with a different code but it's compatible) and the behaviour is similar, with the difference that if i re-open the lid without the power cord, the voltage rise up without any problem.
It looks like the new battery has a sort of strange protection behaviour, i'm in contact with the seller but I don't trust their tecnhical skills...
MB model: EPK50 LA-G07DP Rev: 3.0
BIOS updated to the last revision (48)
Anyone could advice me other tests that I can perform?
Thanks a lot for your support
