Force A1181 Mobo to Boot on External Monitor

I have a Macbook A1181 (820-2279-A motherboard), which is probably this model: _everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-2-duo-2.1-white-13-early-2008-penryn-specs.html

It is essentially just the laptop bottom (no LCD).

How can I force this to boot to an external monitor?

I would appreciate people with personal experience doing this. Seems an almost unexplored pursuit.

I wish I was a competent electrical engineer.

    I learned a bit about reed sensors/switches vs. hall-effect.

I'm not sure if my magnets are powerful enough. They are not terribly strong.

I don't even know if the hall-effect sensor tripping will force it to (from boot time) display only on the external monitor. Anyone confident in messing with this circuitry?
    _www.allegromicro.com/~/Media/Files/Datasheets/A3213-4-Datasheet.ashx
On page 3, you can see the pole configuration. I have the LH package (I am pretty sure). Any thoughts? Honestly, the chip only says:
    Code:
    13E
This style hall-effect sensor seems to have a universal configuration? The configuration was the same with the 3 manufacturers I checked.

This kid "sort of" did what I am trying to do:
    _nemrod.se/hardware/macbook-reed-switch/
*What he is calling a reed switch is a hall-effect sensor; more info (for amateurs like me):
    _www.meder.com/fileadmin/meder/pdf/en/Reed_Sensors_vs._Hall_Effect_Sensors.pdf

Sorry to ask such beginner-esque questions. I am slowly learning.

    Thanks,
    Jaime

That link only refers to (normal, complete) laptops. I only have a bottom (just mobo, essentially).

Bios-mods has nothing. Please do not post in my thread anymore. You ever seen a Macbook with a BIOS?

you are an interesting person. yes of course mac has a bios, but you cant enter any setup or bios utils similar to pc's. i am an electronics/computer hardware tech. and doin this job 15+ years. it was just an idea for you to figure it out, and modding bios is not my intelligence so tried to direct you to a better place. But never mind, doesnt worth. find you own way.

PPC Macs used Open Firmware whereas Intel Macs use a technology called Extensible Firmware Interface or EFI. They do not have a normal BIOS. I have played with Open Firmware before (making USB drives enumerated & bootable). It required being able to see it, though. If that [BIOS diddling] were even possible, how could I even do that with NO DISPLAY?

Nintendo Switch Oled HEG-001: Second-Stage Boot Failure
                        by privato89
                        Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.

Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.

                        Let's begin:

Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the...

Odd One: 820-00923, Won't Boot to External on 2 Ports
                        by ugamazing
We got a really weird one in the shop last week and I've just been trying to figure out exactly what could cause the issue's we're experiencing. The symptoms are odd:

820-00923, no liquid, no damage, not previously-repaired, etc.

                        1. Unit powers up and boots fine; passes AHT, SSDs wipe/install OS perfectly fine, unit will run for hours under stress, and charge/discharge totally fine from ALL four ports. No issues until...

                        2. You try to boot to an external drive (OS installer or bootable drive, doesn't matter) using ONLY the "bottom" port on each...

                        Cisco catalyst 2960c POE
                        by madan1
                        Hello everyone.

Got a catalyst 2960 from the usual scrapyard - ebay.
It is stuck in bootloop and the power supply is missing the 3.3v rail. (+12V, -53V, +3.3V)
Some green moisture crystallization on mainboard, which cleared very well with IPA and visually there is nothing rusted or gone.
Still working on the PSU to get the 3.3v rail back (waiting for parts), but for now I'm using an external buck converter board hooked up to the 12V rail ( by the way, the switch seems to be working with only 12V ).

The switch fails to boot due to the following POST error:...
