Asus X302LA battery power on issue

    Hey all,

    very weird case,
When laptop is connected to charger, battery is charging and holding charge.
When connected to charger:Upon power on, laptop turns on then off then on again.
Without charger, upon power on, laptop is turning on then off and staying off. If i try to push again on power button it's doing the exact same thing.

i ordered a new original battery (i doubt it's really original but a very good copy) exactly same phenomena.
i upgraded the bios to 206 but no change.

Guess my MB is the problem, but what should i check?

thermal camera while off didn't show off anything weird.
and when its on CPU is warming up the board beyond ability to differentiate.

Suggest reviewing the charger circuit and their mosfets. Is the battery charging to its full potential and yet still unable to power the laptop?

What is the battery is removed and tested with only the power adapter? Does the laptop boot?

Which charger IC is onboard? Most Asus board schematics are kept as a family secret so you will be our eyes on this board. With no power, test the resistance to ground of each and every inductor on the board. Checking if there may be a possible shorted part on that local power rail which will consume higher than normal current and force the local power rail to shut off.
