1) Which CPU? How much RAM?
2) Was it ever fast to run?
3) Corrupt OS? Boot in safe mode to test if a device driver could be a factor.
4) Using official power adapter to power the unit? What is the history of this unit? -
In case of dell slowing down,first thing to check is whether adapter is detected in bios setup and next psid reaches SIO or not.Comment

Check your battery also. Sometime not genuine battery can cause CPU limit. Check your CPU clock in Task Manager.Comment

So i had this laptop dell latitude 5410 10th gen, good condition and new ssd and 16 gb ram .
The problem is it takes more than a minute to boot ..
The boot sequence starting with a 30 sec black screen and the the dell logo for 20 and when the windows start loading it takes like 7 sec .
Can someone suggest something to fix -

Bought this used Dell laptop PP24L(studio 1435) in Jan 2022. It was running smooth on 64 bit Windows 7 pro from processor Intel core Duo T6400@2Ghz with 2GB RAM. The laptop battery was charging and working fine until few months back the opening screen will display something like "replacing the battery warning", press F1 to continue. Normally i press F1, the laptop will proceed to Windows and i can use as normal.
