Ok. Hoping it is a shorted capacitor. Would you have an adjustable power supply? If yes, dial it up to 1 volt and inject this power supply onto the shorted drain pins of 5-6-7-8 (any of them is ok) and black power supply lead to ground. Whomever is shorted will heat up. It could be the CPU but often it is a capacitor. That part should crack under this pressure and consume 3-5A of current from your power supply.

Alternatively, you can leave all power off. Meter in resistance mode. Measure the resistance to ground of each inductor. Checking for a similar shorted resistance.

I dont have a variable power supply. Im checking the resistance on the caps and I'm finding a bunch that appear shorted. I assume its all caused by a single short? Are there any schematics for this motherboard? I found one that was supposed to be for this but it was off by one number.

        ACER C5V01 LA-E891P schematic & boardview - Badcaps

Bear in mind that a low voltage rail (ie. GPU / CPU) will be a low resistance to ground by design. Confirm any such parts before dismantling. The parts you are suspecting may be ok as-is.

That link is labeled wrong. Inside is schematics for LA-E892P

The schematics are correctly posted by the boardview files are for the LA-E892P.

Im confused. I have a LA-E891P and the link says LA-E891P but its LA-E892P inside

There are 2 links in post #1. First is the schematic PDF link which is accurate. See below.

Next is the boardview file which offers the wrong boardview files.
