Re: Dell N5110 2beep
When i put PL4501 on board, PU4503 (5,6,7,8) and PU4502 (1,2,3) shorted ground. When i remove PL4501 coil, there is no short ground on PU4503 and PU4502. Board left side is ok and no short but right side (PR4505, PR4506,PC4508,PT4502) shorted ground. I remove all compenent right side but nothing changed.
0.55k ohm show on pc4508. In diode stage it shorted ground. I'm new laptop repair so im still hard working repair it.

Re: Dell N5110 2beep
1D05V_PWR appears to become 1D05V_VTT, see the same page of the schematic. Might be worth removing PR4505 to verify the short is not on that side, then remove components one by one.
Theoretically anything on the 1D05V_VTT line could also be causing the short. If GAP-CLOSE-PWR is a solder jump, you could possibly desolder it to verify if the short is on the 1D05_VTT line, but it's hard to say without seeing the board itself.Dell E7450 | i5-5300U | 16GB DDR3 | 256GB SSDComment

by Achille15Hello everyone,
so, I have this laptop Dell Inspiron N5110 with a heating problem on both CPU (I7-2680qm) and GPU (GT 525m), I tried many solutions, like changing thermal paste every month, using thermal pads on CPU and GPU, even using thermal pads on CPU nearby coils; but nothing worked, just minutes after booting the laptop shuts itself down so I thought it might be a short problem, so I decided to check what's going on, so I went online and some tutorial (general one) said to check inductors in order to find the shorted circuit, after checking (CPU removed), I found the culprit to be... -

by edugimenoHi!!
Yesterday I was installing a new Wifi thermostat for my domestic gas water heater model Vaillant 242/2-3, and accidentlly one wire from mains touched one wire from the thermostat output contacts. This shut off the heater so I finished installing the thermostat and then went out to check the heater
I found one fuse blown (T2 250V). Replaced it with another equivalent fuse and it blew right away. I measured L-N in mains input and I sometimes got 4K but sometimes, not sure why, I got 100 Ohm...
At a certain point, moving stuff around, I put all wires back in place and... - Loading...
