    Initially, the symptom was that charging was not possible and after replacing the ISL9238 chip, the power DC was not recognized.
    With the battery alone, it turns on and operates normally, but when connected with an adapter, it does not charge and turns off when the battery is discharged.
    he MOSFET marked in red has a gate and a short circuit when connected to the battery. When the battery is disconnected, ground and short values ​​are displayed.
    Pins 17 and 18 of the isl9238 chip do not produce any voltage values.

      Flux and with low air pressure, carefully reflow the parts on the left side of your pic. The parts near the 4R7 resistor look like they are touching each other. Each should remain on their own pcb pads. Are you missing a part here? (Pads are empty)

              I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high.               My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

              Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

              My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
              The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

              Acer TMX314-51 laptop battery problem

              I have acer laptop tmx314-51 with part no 6050A3020501.
              The laptop is working fine on adapter and battery is also charging and when adapter is disconnected in on state the laptop gives backup on battery and gives good backup.
              But when laptop is powered on through battery only the laptop does not power on and there is 0 voltage on battery connector.
              I have not not tried another battery as it is not available locally could this be a battery problem.have checked discharging mosfet and there is no shorting to ground on any pin of battery connector.
              The schematic is not available...
