Dell Inspiron 15 5000 no power

Hello!

I'm a new user here. I wish I can collaborate in the future and not only seek advice. I revive this thread as it is the exact model I have and I've downloaded the schematics. Huge Thanks for that!

My laptop is 99.9% dead: When I plug the AC cable the LED turns white for a few ms then goes out.
If I press the power button, the LED turns amber for as long as I keep the button pressed.

Below are my voltages with the AC charger plugged in, the only 'weird' value is 19V_DCBATTOUT which is around 17V.

Other tests I've done:

ACOK pin is 3.3V
Nothing gets hot on the thermal camera, just the ISL9538C increases a couple of degrees when pressing the power button but I can't see anything else of relevance.
BIOS chips, U2501 and U2503. They get 3.3V VCC voltage. But I don't see any SPI activity (SCK, DI, DO, CS) even when I press the power button.


Is my CPU dead, doctor?

A little update.

I do see BIOS activity, but only when the charger is connected. Not when the power button is pressed.

I will try to perform BIOS dump to see if somehow is corrupted.

Hello friends,
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 with 18778-1 4R47G$LA Board . It works, but unfortunately I get the message "The AC Power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined. The batter may not be charge." and the battery will not charge. Power adapter is original. I measured 3.3V at the middle pin of the mains plug. These arrive at D4302 and D4303. Unfortunately I do not have a schematic or boardview for the device. Is anyone familiar with this problem and the solution?
