    HP DV6 Weird backlight problem

    Turns on normally but if I touch the screen or move the laptop after a minute the back light goes off. If I reboot it the lamp working again even if I'm touching the screen, after a minute same thing. What can be wrong? Please HELP!!!

    Bad or loose inverter/LVDS cable.

      Already checked the cables seems to be ok. All I can think is cold joint on CCFL lamp. Is this possible?

        Yes. Broken wires at CCFL lamp base happen even in desktop monitors, let alone laptops which are moved around way more often.

          Indeed the wire was broken, re-soldered it and everything works fine now. Thanks a lot.
