Asus ROG G750JS-T4028 GPU Downgrade
Good afternoon everybody.
This time, i`m trying to revive this old piece of notebook
My problem is, that original GTX870 is completely dead, without any perspective to repair. However i`ve found GTX860 form G750JM which is fine for me.
It looks like MB BIOS is not fine with that exchange, because "new" GPU is not recognised in device manager. Notebook act like there was only iGPU, without discrete card.
Could you help me fix this problem?

Please help me with my Lenovo S145-15API. Symptoms are: black screen after turning on and blinking power/charging LEDs (both in white)
MB: GS440/GS450 NMC511 rev 1.0

I used modded CH341A with 1.8V adapter and neoprogrammer

What is your programming hardware and software?
In my case, fault was on Asprogrammer.
After writing bin file, delivered by hoaca388 with Neoprogrammer, my notebook started to work and everything is fine.

Unfortunately still no luck - Caps Lock blinks 7 times. AFAIK, this means that Sure Start is unable to find valid BIOS Boot Block image.Leave a comment:

Thank you, but it didn't help. Actually quite opposite, because now i have no video signal, batttery LED blinks very fast and Caps Lock LED is on...

Hi,
Long story short - BIOS update from Windows Update went sideways
Notebook is turning on, but it has a "bios update loop". I`ve tried bios crisis/recovery/repair magic tricks (Win+B, Win+V, USB recovery disk etc) nothing helped.
So, i need clean dump, without passwords to reprogram my eeprom again. Can somebody help me?

I`ve HP Elitebook x360 1030 G3 with BIOS update problem. Update downloaded and initiated by Windows 11, but after reboot it stuck on white screen"System BIOS update. Final step of BIOS update is in progress" etc
Fans speed goes up, and after few second notebook reboots and everything starts again.
I`ve tried with USB rescue disk, Win+B, Win+V etc - nothing helped.
Is there any other bios crisis/rescue procedure that can revive my notebook? -

Yes, it`s active low.
I`ve done that before, and at first everything looks the same, BUT what i didn`t check, is voltage on that rail when computer is turned off.
Computer A hits 3,3V, when in computer B it`s 0V.
Computer A: 0V, Computer B: 0V, 1V, 3,3V dependent from brightness of backlight
That led me, to measure voltage on when computer is turned off.

Weird problem with keyboard backlight in Thinkpad T470
I`ve bought two T470, both of them has a backlight keyboard, and in one of them (lets name it computer A) it doesn`t work.
There is no "welcome light up" and no reaction to Fn+Space combination. My first suspect was the keyboard itself, so after checking the connectors, cleaning them na ribbons which didn`t help, i`ve swapped the keyboard as i have second computer (lets name it B)
From now, things are getting weird.
Both of keyboards started to work as it should. Welcome light up, switching on and off, changing brightness etc.

My name is szogun i live in Poland and i`m electronic amateur.
I`ve been lurking this forum for a quite long time, and IMHO it`s one of the best source of knowledge in whole internet.
There no particular type of equipment in which i`d like to specialize, i like to make things work again as they were designed, and give them second life.
I`m against buying new things without need, or replacing them only because they are unfashionable.
