I have a A2141 which fails DFU with error code shown in image.
Now instead of DFU it says "Recovery"
A little back ground on this laptop. I was thinking of writing a topic on corporate laziness and irresponsibility.
We acquired a handful of laptops which a very large company wanted to have shredded due to sensitive information.
Since apple has NSA grade drive formatting I think this is inexcusably lazy that the IT department doesn't just target mode format the drives and release the MDM, and donate the laptops.
Personally I think a large company paying to have working relatively modern laptops shredded should be fined for squandering resources and being an ecologic and economic parasite.
I would love love love to out the company that's doing this, but I don't want to jeopardize the person who was tasked to shredding these laptops livelihood.
That said the T2 rom chips are being flashed to clear the MDM. (Wondering about best practices when doing this)
This has worked on every one of these laptops except this one, the rollback chip was damaged and I replaced it. I've also replaced the ROM.
Does anybody know anything I should look for since it apparently failed the DFU restore and is now in recovery.
