Lenovo Yoga 13 Panasonic, no video, fan OK, missing voltage rail (?)

    Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Yoga 13 Panasonic here, when powered
    • both fans spins (the sconds starts with a bit of a delay), no image neither on HDMI nor the display
    • most voltage rails seem OK (see image below, red labels)
    • resistnace to ground mostly seem OK as well (blue labels)
the only suspicious is the 0.0V rail (2nd from left, top row)
    • the resistance to ground is rather low (1.9ohm)
    • when injecting the voltage (1V), it consumes around 200mA, seems OK to me (?)
also tried new BIOS, no change
I can't find a schematics for the board - can some of you gurus look at the voltages? are they OK from your POV?

    thank you very much,

    -jp

See attached. Start with the DCin power connector. The voltage here should match the power adapter voltage. Then review the 2 * DCin mosfets (Q16 & Q17) next. Need to check the voltage to ground of each of these mosfets in the power path.

    Post each measurement.

I'm testing the board outside of the laptop, with no battery connected, this may explain the low voltage on the BAT line (?)
the resistance to ground on BAT is almost 500 ohm, looks OK to me
the VIN is 20.1V, sounds good to me either

These are good measurements to me. Need to check if I have a board view file to check on the referenced 0 volts on the board.

What is the history of the board?

          that would be awesome @mon2,

if I can identify the rail, I may find the mosfet and the corresponding controller, one of these may be bad IMO
I wonder what rail is missing... could be something like B+?
the board is not labeled (no silkscreen), the coil of missing rail is R47 (0.47uH?)

this is actually an ebay find, not a clear history, not many signs of misuse of water damage

Panasonic TH-L42D25A checking the PSU output voltage
            by electron_jj
Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum. I have a Panasonic LED TV which doesnt turn on and is blinking 4 times repeatedly when I turn on the switch. The TV does not respond to the remote control so I had to turn on using the physical switch on the side of the TV. When I turn on the switch the 4 x blinking starts and repeat itself until I turn off the TV. There is a black screen. I turned off the light in the room to check the panel and I think there is no backlight as far as I can tell.

I have been inspecting and testing the capacitors and diodes in the power supply board to try to...

Hi, my friend have this laptop
Before all voltage missing, im already repair this laptop 3x (i have 3 of this laptop and all of them dead, can't be repaired because dead CPU and other component due unknow chips, why always asus laptop have this issue).

1st repair it short at 3vsus (dead low side mosfe and short caps)
2nd repair short at CPU Vcore mosfet (low side)
3rd repair 12v missing (only 1.2v but it can run bios and hdd not detected because 3vs missing).
and then after 3x enter BIOS it blank then dead (all mosfet buzzing, 12v still missing)
            ...

            Hi,
Have a Macbook A2179 with liquid damage. Customer showed it some shop which has done an ultrasonic cleaning of the board.
The board pulls 0V but doesnt turn on. No Fan SPIN. NOT IN DFU.

I checked the Power Sequences below and found this -

Once a valid external power source (Charger or battery) is connected, the following rails will come online.
PPBUS_G3H: Normal voltage is ~12.6v on the charger with the battery disconnected. Produced from the ISL9240 (U7000, which uses PPDCIN_G3H as its VIN.
PP3v3_G3H_RTC: Normal voltage is ~3.3v. Produced...
