    A1398 15” 2013 short when screen plugged in

    Hello,

    I have a MacBook Pro 15” A1398 2013 that has no backlight, but I see an image when putting light through the logo. I noticed that when the screen is plugged in, I get a 300 ohms short (see image).

    When unplugged, the short is gone.

    Any idea?

        Unable to locate the proper boardview file for this PCB but the 300 ohms to ground is not considered a short. Have seen where some regulators offer an internal 120 ohm resistor to ground as a 'bleed or drain' resistor to drain the voltage quickly for the next power up session of the regulator.

        1) What is the voltage to ground of PPVOUT_S0_LCDBKLT?
        2) Be sure the that the display is compatible with this chassis.
        3) Remove all power. Meter in DIODE mode. Red meter probe to ground, yes red. Black meter probe to the point to test.

        Test the diode mode readings for each of the return LED lines:
