    a1706 820-00923-A. CPU hot No boot

    hello I am asking for your help on an a1706 820-00923-A.
    The CPU heats up
    PPVCC_S0_CPU=1.07V
    no change after 10s
    voltage at charger 20V 0.6 to 0.89A varies

    I did the tests with the motherboard outside the chassis

    No trace of corrosion found either.

    THANKS

        Remove all power. Measure the resistance to ground of each and every inductor for a review. If the resistance is too low, that power rail will not powere up due to the current sense resistor observing a larger than usual voltage drop = excessive current draw so shuts it down. You will need to review which rail is not powering up.

        Study the power up sequence that is attached.

          I just took the measurements and couldn't find any shorts.
          PP5V_s0= 5.02v
          pp3v3_s0=3.38v
          pp1v8=s0=1.82v
          PPVCC_S0_CPU=1.07v
          PPVCCGT_S0_CPU=0V 1.7ohm

            Hello
            I think that the 19 svid sequence is not working, how can I test this part?

            Svid=vidsclk ?

              Does anyone have an idea where I can do other tests?

                Nintendo Switch Oled HEG-001: Second-Stage Boot Failure
                by privato89
                Hello everyone,

                I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.

                Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.

                Let's begin:

                Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the...

                Xiaomi router freezes at boot after re-capping
                by hinisa
                I'm using Xiaomi Router 4A gigabit edition as wireless repeater. It worked fine for 2 years or so, but last week, wireless started to disappear.

                When I unplug/replug the power, it was working fine for a day/half a day or so until it freezes again.

                After testing with different power supply adapters and concluding it wasn't the issue I finally opened the case and this was the situation:

                Anyway I proceed to clean up the mess and replace all caps but unfortunately it made the situation worse. Now router can't even boot, either it freezes during...

                Macbook Pro A1706 (820-00923) no boot if display or Trackpad connected
                by cyber47
                Hello,

                i have used the search function but i doesnt found my problem.

                I am reparing a MacBook Pro A1706 with the Boardnumber 820-00923-A.

                If i have the display and/or the trackpad installed the Macbook does not boot, i have 20V and 0.03 Amps at the charger (without the battery connected), i can post a video of the Amperemeter if this helps.
                The board has PPBUS_G3H and it seems it is in the S5 state (i have the voltage on the S5 rails but not on the S4 rails).

                If i connect the charger without die display and the trackpad installed...

                Samsung un82ru88000f - Boot loop sort of but can correct with taping of LVDS ribbon
                by NolesFan
                Hello all... TV started boot looping. Opened the back panel and tried to isolate the problem. Just PSB no boot loop. PSB and MB no boot loop. Plug in the LVDS from panel to MB and boot looping starts up. It doesnt matter of order that I plug the LVDS ribbons back in, only 1 and no boot loop but as soon as 2nd one plugs in boot looping. I then noticed a flicker on the screen when I was closing the clip on the harness to the LVDS. Shut the lights off so I can see better, and I noticed as i slowly close it, I will get a picture, but as soon as it clips in, I lose picture and booting happens. So I...
