I got problem with charger circuit of this bloody laptop (besides other problems but that's not important now). Thing is that with battery disconnected I got charging LED ON.
Laptop doesn't start with charger connected. On battery it turns ON but doesn't POST.
I need to solve charger section 1st before I start to look why it doesn't POST.
On gate of Q8800 I got 12,6V with battery disconnected, with battery connected it's something like 11,80 and rising as it charges.
Basically I got voltage present on battery connector with or without battery.
BQ24780S generates voltage for running that mosfet, don't know why.
I tested all mosfets, none of them are shorted. Changed 2 different charging controllers, they all behave the same.
I changed and programmed EC, no help.
