I have a few of these HP 840 G6 laptops that i'd like to fix up. They all have this clickpad issue not just in windows but also in the bios too. The clickpad randomly stops/freezes and you have to take your finger off and put it back on to get it working again. It seems like it's either a hardware or firmware issue with the clickpad. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem with a similar model. Thanks.

by FShahidHi I have Dell 7520 which has i7-3632QM as well as AMD 7730M Discrete Switchable GPU.
This is BACO Switchable meaning the AMD GPU can only "render" and cannot work as alone as it depends on iGPU for output.
Attached is the datasheet for LA-8241P which shares common with Inspiron 5520 and Vostro 3560. Link to Schematics: https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...a856347d78.pdf
The laptop has worked flawlessly for last 9 years, with CPU temps never exceeding 90*C and GPU barely reaching 80*C on gaming/full load.

by rouninHi everyone,
I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.
🛠 Original Issue
The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.
I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

by ugamazingI have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!
We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre... -
by BigOofHi,
I bought a used Marantz SR5007 and it's giving me some issues that I can't seem to really place. It functions well in most settings, ARC mostly works, it has no issues driving my speakers in any of the digital input modes, but I'm having issues running analog inputs in direct or pure direct mode. For some reason in this mode there's distortion for every volume increment I give it, but once the volume is stable it has no issues. Muting creates a loud pop, switching to another source also causes a pop and so does turning off the amp in that mode. Again, no issue in the digital modes....-

by StephenNo water damage, customer brought in MacBook Pro 14" A2442 M1 Pro. No water damage present, could not restore the machine but finally got it to restore after multiple attempts. Now the computer installed OS and it is activated. It now restarts and restarts every 3-10 seconds CONSTANTLY. Again no visible water damage, took the board out to inspect and still no signs of damage. Mint condition looking laptop. Computer turns on yes and has Sonoma, however JUST keeps restarting, no crash reports nothing, just KEEPS restarting every 3 seconds, sometimes it was instant back to back like 1 second...
