Compaq 615-Does not work at all

Hi..I have compaq 615 Worked fine.Today when I press the power button it does nothing.It does not work at all!! Nor does lit no lamp!When connected to the ac adapter the white light illuminates indicating that powered.I tried with another charger but nothing.Even with the battery does not work.

What happened???
What can I do?

bios battery out. notebook bat out, unplug the power button and let it sit like that for 10 min?15? the plug everything back and try.

How do I update the BIOS insomuch the laptop dont works!

I update BIOS from Windows with F.20 version from here http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/sit...tte.cachetoken before spoiling.

Is it possible to needs the GPU reflow?

I,ve had same symptoms on another 615 no power only lights on battery charger and i did reflow and after that it work..try mild reflow and see what happens.

Sounds like the solder got screwed, because of high core temps. Because it's an HP/Compaq.

Suddenly the laptop worked itself,but it does not work the screen(black screen) and Caps lock flashing 5 times.

I think 5 flashes MB failure,
It may be worth disconnecting screen from MB and trying a external monitor etc

bga chip issue, if you have Ati or Nvidia chip, reflow it, if you don't reflow northbrigde chip.

I reflow ATI GPU but nothing hapened!!!!!!Now does not work at all as before

then it was too hot now the chip is damaged, need to replace it with a new one
