    Need clarification - testing voltages

    Hey all,

Having trouble understanding this - if you need to test a voltage rail, e.g +5VALW, do you go through every single source of a +5VALW voltage in the schematic and test it, or are they all connected in some way?

On a Toshiba C660 schematic, +5VALW and +3VALW are shown as being generated by TPS51125 in the flow chart - but later on in the schematic they also seem to be generated from TPS51117?

    Cheers!

    They should be connected.
The TPS51117 generate output voltage from pins 3 and 12. All other voltages are the IC's power supply, as shown in the datasheez.

they are all connected . tps51117 need +5valw as input to generate another voltage like 1.05v , 1.5v , 5vsus, 5vrun and so on

Powersupply has all the voltages - Monitor still no power
          by Capacitorial
          Hello guys,

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
          On The TCON...

          Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL6 doesn't start
          by Victor Petrovich
I have laptop Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL6 with Intel Core i3-1115G4. When I press the start button, LED light on the start button starts blinking 12 times, then stops and after some time starts blinking 12 times again. When it stops, all voltages are down.

          The motherboard is HS460 HS560 HS760 NM-D471 Rev: 2.0
          S/N: PF3Q0WTF

The motherboard is not mine, also there were corrosion on the board which I cleaned.

Methods of fixing like fully turning off the motherboard or starting only with adapter doesn't work. All testing were did only with adapter on.

          Lenovo Legion Y540-15IRH, PQ201?
          by mist79
I am still new to this, so I might sound brainless/ignorant in parts of my description/questions, since I have a lot of gaps in my knowledge, but I will do my best.

The laptop is Lenovo Legion Y540-15IRH, and the motherboard model is NM-C221 Rev 2.0 (Schematics and BoardView can be easily found). To save time I have the exact problem in the laptop as the one shown in this video:
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfucZ_WKpz4

I was checking the voltages I found that the main power rail V20B+ is good, and same for the +3VALW circut, but when I tried the +5VALW, the circuit...

HISENSE LCD LED TV MODEL HX40N2176F LED DRIVER SN51DP IC PINOUT AND VOLTAGES
          by RossMoodley1967
          Hello

Need to know the voltages that will be present on SN51DP ic when tv is in standby and when powered on.

Just to elaborate on the problem with the tv 1.set came in with flash of HISENSE logo on screen then back into standby.2. Now tv when plugged in red standby light present to quickly changes to blue but no backlights.3.Then an hour ago i checked again , came on standby and stayed until i pressed the power button which changed to power on (blue)4.As far as the led driver circuit goes voltage at output in standby was 38v , power on led light up voltages rise 58v-68v...

Asus Prime x299 Deluxe - no VCCIO VCCSA voltages
          by lol999
Motherboard after starting show Q code 00.
No shorts on any rail ( at last I can't finde any)
All voltage are correct on SIO - 3.3V, PCH power 1V , DDR 1.2V, SPI 8 leg 3.3V
Nothing get hot, PSU starting, all lights came ON....
One thing i can see incorrect is no VCCIO and VCCSA voltages and no main power on CPU.
After deep looking I found dead Synchronous Buck converter CSD97374Q4M that is powering VCCIO for CPU but after replacing it nothing changed. Voltages on it are correct....
This buck converter is PWM'ed by Asus DigiVRM ASP1405I-62T. Can't finde any datasheet...
