HP Pavilion G6 fan spins but no post

Hi, I have two of these. One is fixed but the other board won't display anything. The power jack and power button light up and the fan spins but there is no video on external or laptop monitor. i have tried a reflow - no luck. I was going to try and program the bios but I have a problem. I am not much good at schematics and the bios chip mentioned in the schematic is different to the one on the MB. I'd be grateful if someone would check the pictures and tell me if i am looking at the right one.

U11 is for KBC, which related to no power issues.
U46 is the main one, which you must reprogram for your case.

yes, you are in the page.. chech if you have 3v to this ic part#MX25L4005AM2C-12G.. flash it if you have 3v.

Thanks tomodachi and jtamad44. I will let you know how I get on. Could that Winbond 25Q16BVS be in place of the MX25L4005AM2C-12G. I can't find that MX25L chip.

MX25L4005AM2C-12G is a 512 kbytes chip.
25Q16BVS is a 2 MBytes, so the size of data they can hold, differs too much.
You have other soldered chip. See the name on it, and post.

I have checked voltage on the winbond at 3.36v. For the life of me I can't find that MX25L4005AM2C-12G anywhere on the board. I have never programmed a bios chip before but I want to try it as an extension to my hobby and the programmers are cheap. I've ordered one but it will probably be 3 weeks before it gets here. Will uefi make it a short term investment? I have read somewhere that there will still be a bios chip to kickstart the MB even with uefi.

Probably that motherboard, has the 128K byte SPI EC ROM instead of 2M SPI EC ROM.
