my problem with this laptop is that it shows the backlight just with a blink then totally off upon power up. tried already replacing the inverter and LCD but it doesn't cure the problem. if i press the LCD standby switch the backlight will just also blink... also if some one could provide a schematic is very much appreciated. thanks....

Re: Toshiba L35-S2171 LCD Backlight problem
Check voltages in inverter like +19v Power +3.3V Enable and Dim 1.5V-3V. If voltages present inverter is faulty or the backlight is worn out, try another backlight tube?
If 19v is there but no enable or no dim backlight will not come. Lets say you have enable but dim signal is missing, you can just solder a jump wire or resistor from the 3.3v to the dim. If enable missing, maybe broken trace on motherboard, you can also get the voltage from a different point of the motherboard, anywhere where the 3.3v comes on after you press the power button.

Did you try replace the screen cable matey?
Another thing - though I could be grasping at straws here - the flickering thing. Maybe it's detecting something plugged into the VGA port? Have you tried setting the BIOS not to automatically use VGA?Dell E7450 | i5-5300U | 16GB DDR3 | 256GB SSD
