Hp pavilion dv6000 white screen with vertical lines

    Hello everyone
I have here Hp Pavilion dv6000 white screen problem with vertical lines.
When I turn it on, no bios, hard drive led no light, what do you guys think the problem is, SB chip?
I connected to external LCD but not detecting, I know all hp laptop supports external LCD auto detect.
I also tried known working memory no luck
Then I reballed the gpu still the same.
The next thing I want to do is to change the gpu with a new one (Nvidia G86-730-A2)
Any idea how to fix it?

    Thanks in advanced

I use both upper and lower ir.

problem solved.. it was lcd screen..

i seperated the lcd from the laptop, then hooked it up to an external lcd.

          works both on vga/hdmi.

          Thanks for your time!

try to disconnect the lcd flex cable first in your motherboard and plug your external monitor,,
if the lcd flex cable is connected to motherboard, external monitor only appear after the window startup most of dv series

you cannot use external monitor if the Operating System is not loaded or no Operating system
