hy guys! i did a notebook like this to; i HAD 10 led lcd and everyone had other colors blue, yellow, white(strong), orange, etc.
on external was working fine.
after 2 weeks we wanted to sold it for parts and before we wanted to take a part we try a reflow(nothing to lose) and guess what ... it work.

Thank you, I'll try a reflow tomorrow, but to me it looks like something is shorted or blown.

Hello, I didn't have time, what part did you reflow? I'm going to reflow SB and GPU.

yeee about that i use a electric oven (: and a lot of copper, the notebook its still running today( i always call or p.m them to see how its running and they all happy)

i did a reflow on a k50 and it was ok all day but something went wrong because the notebook stop for a reasson and it will not start again like no led no power nothing; not even battery charging :|

I just did a heavy reflow on gpu, it works now, but still green tint on screen

I was going to say no need to reflow the southbridge as it rarely reaches temps that would cause oxidation.
