Compaq v3000 touchpad blinking with beeps sound

i got 1 motherboard compaq V3000 were touchpad continues blinking also got sound 1 long beeps 2 short beeps. sometimes can boot until windows logo. sometimes hang at bios step. are this problem cause from failure BIOS . any idea ? i really from bios failure im ready for flash the bios.

vga problem 99% same as dv2000/dv6000/dv9000

This board not hav vga like dv2000 or intel chipset problem. Sometime hav display sometimes sound beep with no display. Anyone else face this problem before. I try check again exacly model board is v3629TU

1 long and 2 short beeps are related to video issue. Try to heat GPU by a hairdryer or if you have hot air and you will see. Propably needs reflow.

Thanks to reply the compaq presario v3629tu graphic chipset use Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100. So i need reflow this chip?. What yr advice gabik111? Reball or just reheat the chip.

Well , reballing is the best choice but sometimes only reflow will help and it will last long. Depends on working enviropment if reflow will help it will be good.
Every laptop is a single problem. Each one need separate attempt and cannot be treated as common issue. Similar issues can point you where and how to look for damages.

Already flow but still the same i reflow the chip intel in circle. Charging light flash also button touchpad blinking

I still can enter bios but hang at this step or when got window logo the system just loading cant enter window anymore. Please help

sounds like its not all the way bonded after reflow..

did you try cleaning the memory with an eraser or using another memory. the beeping sound was a video chip prob but the hanging prob could be the memory. wont hurt to give it a try.

Yes before reflow i changed processor also try another ram but still blinking. Usually if bad ram no display but i can see normal display.

I have a Compaq Presario V3638TU showing the similar symptoms.

Using the power adapter with the battery removed, the front Power light blinks. When I pressed the Power button, the notebook gives out 1 long beep and 2 short beeps continuously. The fan is running. The display is blank. The front Power light is blinking. The TouchPad light alternates amber and blue. The Media button, Volume Mute button and the light near the num lk is on.

Using the battery only, the symptoms are as above but the COMPAQ startup screen is displayed briefly before the screen goes blank. If I pressed and released the Power button, the notebook switched off and turned on again but this time without the COMPAQ startup screen unless I do a hard reset by removing the battery and pressing the Power button for 15 seconds.

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried HP procedures on recovering the BIOS using key press combination without success.

I think this is a hardware fault. With the battery and power adapter inserted, the notebook cannot power up. No light, no display, only the right side power connector light is on.

Correction. The front Battery light blinks not the Power light. Both Power light are off. I suspect it may be the charging circuit as the Battery light blinks when the battery is not inserted.

Out of interest has anyone actually seen an Intel GPU fail? I've never seen it in all the years of doing board-level repair.
