    Pandigital Supernova

This is a new one for me. I have a Pandigital Supernova that wont turn on. When i press the power button i get nothing, i figured maybe its the screen, so i connected the device to my computer hoping that when i power it on, my laptop will see it, but nothing. When i plug in the charger i get a green light, the battery has some power so im sure its charging. The power button has a voltage, as do other parts dotted around the board, see pic. I dont have any majorly important data on the device, just some notes, ebooks and some .pdf attachments that id like to recover if possible.

Is this beyond one man and his solder iron/multimeter ? Anyone have any advice or experience with tablets ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Pandigital Supernova

I also have no idea about tablet PC s but I can tell this is a mobile device and unlike laptops they are thinner and less tough,
They are sensitive to drop, shake or moisture environment, you should consider all these possibilities first,
First of all check if there are any missing components, mini fractures, liquid contact or sockets for displacements,

    let us know results please

      Re: Pandigital Supernova

Ive had a close look over the motherboard and dont see any liquid or fractures/dry joins, it hasnt been dropped at all. I hooked up a different Li-Po battery, and still got no power.

Physically bending the T-Con board creates horizontal dotted lines on OLED55CXPUA
        by fredtred
        Hello!
I have been trying to solve this issue the past 12 months to no avail. I have been a lurker here during that time but finally decided to post my problem and see if anybody knows a solution.

        Problem
My tv (OLED55CXPUA) has an issue where it displays horizonal lines of dotted artifacts.

        (See Attachment 1)

        Self Diagnosing
After a very long troubleshooting period I traced the issue to the T-Con board. If I gently flexed/bend the board I could make the display go from GOOD to BAD and vice versa. I have ruled out the connectors/wires...

        Samung UE46S8000 vertical dotted lines
        by dicky96
        Hi guys
Is this likely to be anything else other than a faulty panel?

The vertical lines are dotted not solid like I usually see on a panel with bad tab bonds

Novation SuperNova 2 Rack - Freezes up.
        by jwillifixit
Hi there fans of the Supernova 2... I have recently come into ownership of a rack model and it's not working properly. I was hoping that if I describe the issue someone here might be able to point me in a direction.

Okay here goes... It powers on and all the lights flash once then the display shows "Supernova" than it adds "voices 24" and on the next line "O/S version 2.0" as it is changing to that the Part buttons 1-8 and the edit button light up than the display changes to show "Seq 30303 Dist" and on the second line "Prog A049"...

Samsung SyncMaster 2220wm tiny dotted lines
        by awdrifter
I'm getting these tiny dotted lines on my Samsung SyncMaster 2220wm monitor. I tried plugging the same HDMI cable (using a HDMI to DVI converter) into my MAG Innovision monitor, that seems to be fine (no lines). Has anyone encountered similar issues before? Is it caused by a bad cap or do I need to change out the input circuit board?

        Thanks....

Lenovo G565 Laptop , LCD not turn on, external terminak ok.
        by g1150
Lenovo G565 Laptop onboard LCD Display does not turn on.
        Only works with external Monitor.
I am trying to verify that the LCD signals from the motherboard are ok.
The LCD was working, but over time happened to not turn on more frequently.
        Now dead.
Possibly the cable from MB to LCD is broken somewhere.

I just wonder how it is detected if external or internal monitor shall be activated ?

I found the following schematic on the net:

The graphics chip ATI Mobility Radeon HD5470 seems defective.
