is there a way to identify laptop lcd part # without taking it apart?

i have an ibm lenovo g475

i am trying to figure out if theres anyway to look up the lcd part # (the one on the back of most lcds) without having to open the entire laptop apart.

also, this allows me to search the part on other vendors and hustle down the price (some of them have different versions, some cheaper than others but that work nonetheless)

Not that I know of, and since same laptop model can have more than one manufacturer supplying the panel and it may not have the same wiring harness, best thing to do is to look at it and get the correct model.
