    List of Components.

    Hello Guys,
This forum has propelled me to a greater level when it comes to fixing laptops and I thanks everyone who has helped me here. Anyways, I am here to ask, that most of the laptops I get for repair mostly have problems with their power IC..for eg theres a HP CQ40 with a bad ISL6262 power IC. I need a list of most commonly used power ICs so that I can order them and keep a ready stock.

    hi,
As to my own experiences, power IC fails are not the only trouble source on laptop & notebook mobos, power fails mostly sourced from mosfet and other smd components, if you ask me you do not need to create a stock,
You just need more experience, then power regulator and Vcore fails will become a piece of cake,
And any questions, I will be happy to help, just pm me.
    Good luck.

it is true, but when you have laptop with failed pwr chip and you don't have it and customer don't want to wait until you get it, it is not very pleasant

Thanks for your reply sir. Yes, I will need more and more experience and everything will become a piece of cake. Secondly, I need to learn how to check power mosfets and smds. Will you help?
