I have g62-a22eo and need bios chip to replace on motherboard. I need to know is it posible to solder chip from another version of g62 (G62-a22SE) or it can be done only with same version of lap top.
I suppose there is 2-3 different versions of motherboard and those specifications are for different keyboard, hdd, memory etc, so I only need to match correct motherboard type regardless of particular model???
ok, nobody knows for white screen, but somebody must know this thing with charging and keyboard. what is connection between charging and keyboard ???...
it reaches limit I set (for example 0.5A), turn on red light that say "I hit the limit" and stays there. thats how it should work every dc power supply I think...
I also have similar dc power supply and I can set limits on voltage and current. when it reaches it stays there and can works days without problems. same is for short circuits. so probably your have malfunction or something
I have exactly the same thing with hp dv6 laptop, and had it couple times before on hp laptops. I didn't find proper solution for this yet and if someone on this guru forum know what is fault with this stuff it would be great.
my temporary solution is to assemble the laptop without keyboard, charge battery, and then mount keyboard. It works until both sources of supply are disconnected. In simple words don't remove battery and it will work
on choke 3.34v and 5.14v ALW, current was a bit tricky to measure because of third control pin on hp chargers but i got it. power sequence is like this:
turned off: 0.11a
turned on: 1.7a, 1.8a, 2.1a, 1.950a and holds it
this is just motherboard with display no other devices.
does anyone know what is this thing with keyboard and charging, because I saw that on at least 5 hp laptops ...
I tried it now and it won't stay ON, just blink when I press button, and goes off when I release it.
also what I noticed now, when keyboard is connected and when put charger in, led light near jack won't light, it just flash once and goes off, and motherboard won't power on. When remove keyboard and connect charger, light is on and motherboard powers on. Also when I first connect charger, then put keyboard it powers on and light on charger jack is on.
I did reflow it, but no changes. Maybe southbridge...
I power it up and it shows white screen without any lines. no any sounds, power light is on, nothing flashes, voltage on every coil is ok, only +vga_core is 0.92v which is pretty low but in schematics is normal between 0.9v and 1v
nothing on external display, with or without its main display.
it seams to me like gpu problem, but not sure. anyone had something like this???
board is completely dead. no voltage on any coil. there is no voltage after second fet (1v), but fet is OK. could someone help me. no voltage to battery connector or charging and 5v/3.3v chip
When I connect charger without battery it power green light, when I put battery it also turns red light, but after 1 second it starts to turn on and off red light. On dc power I can see how its current is going over 4a and falls to 0a every second.
I replaced every fet on line, replaced max1909 charging chip, and still the same. I think max1909 cliks in tact with current upping and falling, probably turns on and off.
