    Acer Aspire 5738G

    Hello,
    have 2 machines with same symptoms: no video on internal lcd, but works fine on external svga.

    Tried reflowing, without success, what you think, suggestions?

    If it works fine on external VGA, then you don't need to reflow the
    graphics chip.

    Check your LCD cable and try re-seating it. Also check the inverter for the backlight.

      It could still be the Video card, i notice this Model has ATI Graphics, ATI or nVidia are do tend to overheat. If you're not still able to get either to work on internal LCD it could be the reflow hasn't been successful, on the other hand try Paul678's suggestion first to narrow down the cause

        I've lost a lot of time before troubleshooting issues like this only to find something very simple to be the fix.

          need to replace VGA card , or just make it heat your BGA Chip
