    samsung s3510

Hi I have a customers samsung s3510 how has been using a universal maplins charger and has now no power. Now with an original charger their is a short on the mobo. I have tried 2 Chargers and the same things happen the led blinks on the charger and you can hear a pinking noise in the charger. It obviously has a short on the motherboard but I cannot find it.
It has the power ic circuit near the battery, which is at the other end on the pcb and 1 power regulator gets red hot. I have changed that but still have th e same problem. Any help please.

the big cap is the problem below the processor on the other side of the board.

you must replace it with 4 tantalum cap ( 2x470 ,2x330)

i do not speak english very well . i am french man

                    Re: samsung s3510

                    arrangement with the capacitor:

                    (4x330e)or (4x330d) or (2x470e , 2x330e) or (2x470d , 2x330d) or (4x220e) or (4x220d)

e=2.5v d=4v you can also mix voltage values

Hi I have completed the process by removing the oe687 and using 4 x 220d's but I am still get short circuit causing the chargers to blink. I am sure it was caused by a universal charger have you any other things ican try.
                        Thanks

There is nothing near the dc socket. It has 1 tiny capasitor then just tracking all the way to the battery/ power area i the other end of the board.
