    maxim chip question

when reading the code on a maxim chip which part do you go by to get a replacement, example - the maxim chip full code is 1909ETI547NSCW.is it just the 1909E bit that is important or do i have to match it up exactly.what do all the other numbers and letters mean, are they just things such as date etc....

    thanks

    Re: maxim chip question

Seems from a quick search that 1909ETI is the series name for that product. What all the rest means, well can mean loads of stuff or noting important. Depends on chip manufacturer and so on. Reading the datasheets will probably tell you if they are important or just part of datecodes and manufacturing plants and so on.
