scratch off the mask and solder on a wire bridge. re- coat (lacquer, spray paint, whatever works for you).
i found this to be much more reliable than the ink (you mean the epoxy/silver mix, right?)

      Laptop external keyboard?
      by Hondaman
Can I use an external keyboard with a modern (as of this post) laptop from, say, Dell?

I am worried about durability because I am a cheap, frugal person. I suspect an external keyboard would extend the life of the laptop. I have always been a desktop person, since my AMD 386DX-40, and I really don't know about laptops (though the current Dell products look like they are fanless, which eliminates a big failure point).

(Also I prefer the "clicking" "Unicomp" keyboard, which is still made an hour or two away from me in Lexington KY, using the same equipment...

820-02020 Super Weird Issue: Keyboard Input Character Map "Wrong"?
      by ugamazing
So, I have a really bizarre issue that I'm struggling to identify the cause of. Working on an 820-02020 board with some bizarre keyboard/input-source character mapping. My suspicion is a possible damaged SPI ROM (U1970), perhaps, but I'm really not sure in this case:

      1. The issue is pretty weird, but when installing MacOS, I noticed my WiFi password did not work. I quickly realized the special characters (!@#$%^& etc) were not mapping correctly.

      2. I noticed the keyboard layout/input-source is defaulting to JAPANESE every single time I restore the board. I am not...

Micro not detected and db board Asus UX325E
      by ngodatvd5
My computer does not detect the microphone. When I opened the laptop, I discovered that the sub-board was missing screws, and the keyboard had been replaced by plastic welding (the keys came loose because it was not secure). On the board, I found that a part of it was broken (I am not sure whether it was broken by the person who replaced the keyboard or if the loose keys caused the damage, but I could not find the broken piece inside the laptop). In the broken area, I saw some circuit traces, but I am not sure where they were connected to. If anyone has this board, could you please help me identify...
