Try checking for shorts in other mosfets and capacitors (use your continuity test). From here, it gets tricky. In most modern boards, it's virtually impossible to manually trace a voltage rail across the laptop. Maybe someone else here can chime in but I think your best bet here is the trial and error approach. Test the larger ceramic caps and other 8 pin mosfets. Some will be dual channel which are a little more tricky to test so for the time being stick with the single channel ones (you can tell since they have 4 drains in parallel and 3 source pins in parallel). Sometimes caps will have visible damage (they crack and shatter so often times they'll look like an egg shell crack). Good luck!
