    Lenovo P51 motherboard component id

    Hello everyone,

I am trying to identify the component in the photo on a motherboard of a Lenovo P51 laptop. It is right next to a coil on one of the main power rails. Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you!

Lenovo X240 - motherboard replacement for X250, no image.
      by andrhouseolly
Friends. I beg you to help me in this situation.
Lenovo X240 with a video problem. Native Intel drivers are not installed,
after installation, a black screen. It works with the standard Microsoft driver.
Understanding that there are problems with the video core,
      I ordered a motherboard from Lenovo X250.
The laptop turns on, starts up, there is no image on the internal display.
The image is output to the external monitor.
I ordered another motherboard from Lenovo X250.
The laptop turns on, starts up, there is no image on the internal display.

Need help interpreting schematic of Lenovo B470 motherboard
      by rddube
      Hello everyone,

OK, so here is my issue.

This Lenovo B470 motherboard I am troubleshooting died and I identified it is the discrete Nvidia graphics chip that has lost it's ways!

So I removed it and now I am trying to change this motherboard to use UMA graphics, but I am having an issue interpreting the attached diagram. I have a 10K resistor in at the R2013 position and another one at the R2012. R2010 and R2011 are empty.

The motherboard starts, the fan spins but no display. It turns off by itself. I restart it and it does start but stays on...

MacBook Pro A1707 Motherboard Diagnostic Help – CD3215 heating and Fluctuating Rails
      by Cemal Odabasioglu
      Hello everyone,

I'm currently diagnosing a MacBook Pro A1707 motherboard that does not power on. I've gathered some data but am stuck and need expert advice.
Note that i'm a beginner in electronics and i'm trying to learn while trying to repair this macbook that my work gave me. I'm really curious and love understanding how thing works and i already learned so much.

Only one usb c port is taking 20v and have 12.5v on PPBUS_G3H. when trying other ports, 2 are not going to 20v and one is going to 20v but the CD3215 is getting really hot.

      Observations...

lenovo flex 5 14ITL05 bios and motherboard fault
      by claws77
my laptop is lenovo flex 5 14ITL05

recently my power supply for this laptop developed a fault.
which caused a short in my usb c port -- verified with a new charger.

rant: so, i went to the repair tech in my country, he asked for a huge repair cost when i decided to get it done someplace else this "great person" nicked my bios chip, asked me to be aware for repair scams lol.
I was stupid and unable to find the flaw at the moment. Another repair tech told me that my bios chip was stolen and an 8mb bios chip is in place of that. he told me that a 32...

Inability to view the Bios with dedicated/discrete graphics card, Lenovo v520 PC, IB250MH VER1.0 motherboard
      by pippostino
Good evening everyone, I have recovered a Lenovo V520 desktop PC, on which I have mounted an NVDIA GF9500GT 512Mb graphics card (and it is not the only one I have tried) to replace the one originally mounted, namely NVIDIA GT730 (Lenovo code FRU01AJ853), I replaced it because it has 2 Display Port outputs that I cannot use, as I don't have such a monitor or DP/VGA converter. The problem: Windows I can see it, but the Lenovo logo or the BIOS/UEFI, not. So I can't enter the Bios. To view the Boot or the Bios, I have to remove the dedicated graphics card and connect to the integrated graphics (therefore...
