Any idea how to bypass?Got it from an public auction with receipt.

sending password resetting mails through null as Apple ID and null as password to the preowner the last days but no reaction.

Nothing yet, even after many posts about it.

As you say, would be nice to contact the original owner. Could work either way with support or claim it's stolen.

I just wish Apple would be a bit more green with the growing mountain of activation locked devices. Apple claims its products are free of this and that in manufacture, but the stockpile of locked devices is a big mark on their credibility with this claim.
