Lenovo ThinkPad T430 - LCD replacement - only white screen.

    Hi,

I've got a Lenovo ThinkPad T430 laptop with a broken screen and a problem with the backlight.

I replaced the broken LCD B140XTN03.1 with LTN140AT28. Everythings should bo OK. However, when turned on, the screen only lights up in white. On the external monitor, the system loads and the computer works normally.

I will mention, that while the system is loading, the LCD blink black once - probably when the graphics driver is loaded. Backlight brightness adjustment works normally.

Is there something I can check on the motherboard or is it a defective matrix and should I exchange it at the seller for another one?

Or maybe the screen ribbon cable?

Both questions you ask (defective matrix ? ribbon cable?) are probably close, but first I would like to see a very close photo of your connection to the LCD, probably not seated properly. A microscopic photo would be nice, but if you can't do that, inspect it with a jeweler's loupe and make sure it is seated properly and not damaged when you inserted it.

I checked the connection several times. Everything looks good. I decided to measure the voltages at the screen connector on the laptop motherboard (Lenovo T430 NZM4I-7 UMA VILT3 NM-A082):

      PIN 2,3,4 - VCC3P = 0V
      PIN 5 - VCC3B = 3.3V
      PIN 30 - VCC3P = 2.88V
      PIN 35,36,37,38 - VBL20 = 19.9V

Following the missing voltage on pins 2-4, it turned out that on one side of fuse F3 I have 3.3V and on the other side 0V.
After the test short circuit, the screen start working.

I replaced fuse F3 and the problem was solved.

          White screen repairs

To ask here... I have few devices with white screen problem, actualy nokia 2220 and some fuji? camera, and try to understand what is common problem to cause that issue.
Yes, both devices work everything else probably ok, I mean, I hear intro melody and keypress click sound, DTMF tone, power on off... all ok.
On desk is nokia 2220 slide, and I check all screen connectors and components arround it, measure voltage drop, but all looks ok. I suspect on slide flex cable, but it look ok and white screen is not interupt while flexing board, pushing conectors, and sliding up down. In attachment...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
          by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen3 stuck on "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen
          by BMCappelletti
          Hi everyone.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 3, stuck on the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen.
Found a lot of people with this issue, but with no definitive answer. Some people managed to get away accessing BIOS, going to Startup and turning off "Option Key Display". For me that only removed the interrupt normal start up message, leaving only the Lenovo logo.
Most people say hitting Enter does not work. It's true, if you wait a few seconds. But if you hit Enter right away you get the options to enter BIOS (which works), run diagnostics (goes to a...

          Screen Replacement for A2337
          by kino0924
          Hi,

I have a 2020 macbook air m1 that needs a screen replacement (cracked)

Right now, I have few options but not sure what to take

          1. Screen only from aliexpress (80 USD)
          2. Housing and screen from aliexpress (144 USD)
          3. Genuine used screen from ebay (250 USD ish)
          4. New screen from ifixit (450 USD)

To be honest, I dont think new screen from ifixit is worth it since I can get it replaced by apple with same amount of price (haha)

Now, I am wondering is it really worth to spend 100 more on used genuine screen....

MacBook Air A2681 battery problem after Screen Replacement
          by mferna14
Hi, my dear friends., Maybe this might be a stupid question or something I missed or do not know. I have 2 MacBook Air A2681 (Indentical color & EMC #), both LCD screens broken. Before ordering the LCD Screens I confirmed both worked with their respective batteries & AC Adapters, & they did 100%. The LCD Screens came in today & I replaced LCD for the 1st A2681. (Removed Battery Terminal cable for both Laptops before installation of LCDs). Perfect Screen & Booted up fine. But it did not work with battery. I checked the battery connector & it was seated in well/perfectly....
