    Asus gamer f15

Hi, I have an asus TUF Gaming F15 TUF506HM, motherboard DAONJHBAH0 REV : H, it does not turn on, but charges the battery well.

the charging light is on with the charger

I did not find any shorts, but the graphics card has a very low resistance close to zero (0.8 ohms).

The two bios chips are not powered by 3V3

the power button and the micro controller are powered by 3V3

there are two 3V power chips, 5X=RICHTEK which feeds the microcontroller well in 3v3. And the other chip 7=RICHTEK which does not output anything in voltage, this chip is powered by 20v

Do you believe that the ITE micro controller is defective or that it is the 7J=RICHTEK chip?

If anyone can help me find it, thanks

Hi how much resistance do you have on output of 7x chip.
O,8 ohm resistance to ground on gpu coil can be total normal. If you have no short on output is the chip get enabled?

That are the first measurements you must do

Hi, no the chip 7J= is not activated, there is no voltage around except the 20v
      phase 1 and 2 : 160 OHMS
      resistance ok, no shorts around

Then you must check where the chip got enabled . Do you got a short on enable.
The chip can not work till he got enabled. Your problem is probably on enable pin. The chip replacement will not help for that

        Regards

does anyone have the schemtic of this motherboard with the birdview?

the resistors are ok and are not short, maybe it's ITE that triggers sending the voltage on the chip's enable?

7J chip is used for which circuit? Ram or GPU? This will chip get enable only after turning on. Is your motherboard turning on? If not, check basic requirements of SIO chip first.

I think that the 7J= chip supplies the whole motherboard with 3V3 and 5v, because it is next to the two 3V 5V coils. I believe that the 5X= chip is there to power the power button on the keyboard and the SIO chip simply, and that once the power button is triggered, it sends a signal to trigger the general 3V3 of the 7J= chip. I deduce that either my SIO chip is defective or my keyboard does not work. do you know how to trigger the ignition without the keypad?

The RT8816A has nothing to do with your 3.3V/5V. It controls more likely a power rail for the GPU, for example +1.35VDGPU or similar. The 3.3V LDO for the EC and the +3.3VALW (coil) are usually created from the same IC.
The only reason why you can't make progress is because you're trying to figure it with wrong assumptions so far. If you let the people here lead you, you'll make progress with the diagnose.

So, remove power go for resistance mode and measure resistance of each coil to GND. Share the values on a nice and clear picture of the board (not like the dark picture from before), then repeat the same step with voltages, with power of course. And from there we have something to work with.

5X=RICHTEK . This is your 3v/5v pwm ic and certainly not 7J=

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2
                      by acedogblast
This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

Asus Chromebox CN62 - wrong chip put on BIOS reader
                      by BMCappelletti
                      Long story short:
                      - dad converted Asus Chromebox CN62 into Windows compatible, with mrchromebox BIOS, years and years ago
                      - gave the computer to his son a couple years later
                      - son now decided to revert it to Chrome OS, to sell it as original (re-writing BIOS with the backup one created by his dad)
                      - too lazy to remove the board from the case, thought a voltage regulator was the BIOS chip (you know... it has 8 legs)
(seems like the story was not that short)

He used alligator clips to read the chip. No luck reading it. Removed chip and placed on a SOC-8...

                      Asus laptop EC/SIO chip replacement

Asus Vivobook 15 (board X513ea R2.0) gone dead when user plugged an iPhone cable into the USB-C port during boot. Now there's no LED light, no power at all. I checked all MOSFETs and capacitors, no shorts found. The board only has 3.3V and 5V present, no other voltages.

I injected 3.3V into the EC chip power rail (ITE IT5125VG 128), and it draws 80mA, while the 3.3V LDO chip RT8249C has a max output of 100mA. I checked the boardview and found there are only two chips on this 3.3V rail, EC and Realtek audio chip. So I think EC could be the problem.

                      I found the EC chip...

Problem Flashing Macronix MX25L6445E BIOS Chip with CH341A and EZP2019+ on ASUS X455LD
                      by pengamat_hebat
                      Hello everyone,

I'm trying to flash the BIOS chip Macronix MX25L6445E from my ASUS X455LD laptop using both a CH341A and an EZP2019+ programmer, but I keep encountering issues.

Reading the chip works perfectly, and I can extract the BIOS dump without any problems.

However, erasing and writing fail every time, regardless of the software I use. (Neo, asprog, ch341, etc)

I also tried applying 3.3V to pin 3, but it still didn't work.

I attempted to unprotect the chip, but when I read it back, the registers remained unchanged.

Asus X571GT repair chip replace and tips wanted

                      Hi

I try to repair a asus Asus X571GT (DA0XKTMB8C0) no power no lights.
I saw a burned (small hole in it) chip (JW10F) proberly a TPS22976DPUR, I removed it, now with power connected the laptop turns on and direct off again, power led and fn will light up.
                      I found on a donor lenovo board a G2898KD1U (wa9y), looks the same ..
Result is still the same, turns on and direct off again, first attempt is with backlight on all other direct attempts are only the power and fn led.

Could it be the chip is to diffrent to make the laptop work again ?
