Macbook AIr a1466 Trackpad jittery/nonresponsive in macos, but not in recovery mode.

I've got a MacBook Air A1466 that had liquid damage that I got working entirely except for the trackpad. The track pad is jittery or outright unresponsive when it is in macos, but works perfectly fine in recovery mode. The keyboard works and there are no issues with any of the keys not pressing. I have also replaced the track pad with 2 known good track pads and still am having issues with it.

I can't find anything wrong on the board with any of the IC's that would be in circuit with the track pad and am assuming it's some sort of os issue, but I don't know how macOS actually works since I'm not a mac user. I know on windows I would just reinstall the drivers to test that, but I don't have a clue how to do that on a mac.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I managed to figure it out. Don't know why, but reinstalling MacOS resolved the issue. No clue how a liquid spill corrupted an installation of MacOS, but apparently it did somehow.
