Dell ac power adapter type cannot be determined

Hi, there is a tipic problem on Dell but my is very strange.

On PU111 i have this voltages:

    Pin1:0.78V
    PIN2: 0V
    PIN3: 3,19V
    PIN4:3.07V
    PIN5: 5V
    PIN6:0V

    PL3 have 3.19V

What you think that can be? SIO? because PIN6 is 0V?
    I Attach schematic.

There is a way to solve this problem?

You can unsolder temporary PU111 and bridge pin3 to pin4 to see if it solve the problem, or check the charging DC in jack, there may be a poor contact between the center pin and the jack, if you are sure the charger is genuine and working.

If you don't use a docking station, you can leave it like that, otherwise you must replace it.

Don't you have a other Dell motherboard laying around?.
Few days ago, I used a Dell E6320 motherboard (chip PU1) to fix a Dell E7240 motherboard (chip PU111).
The adapter did not get recognized in the bios, and with bridging pin 3+4 it did worked again.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
            by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell Pro 13 Plus PB13250 Bios Unlock
            by Akhlz001
            Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

Some models have a choice of 2 different firmwares, it depends on the dell SKU.

            Hello all,

this is my first post, so if I make mistakes please do not hesitate to point them out, thank you in advance.

I got a Dell Latitude 5420 (Service Tag: 7RFM6D3, Motherboard: GDF40 LA-491P Rev.: 2.0 (A01)) which does not start and I want to repair it. These are the symptoms:

If the laptop is only connected to the AC adapter (battery removed):

When I press the power button, the keyboard backlight and the display backlight are turning on. Caps key light is lightning, but key does not respond to pressing it.

            The power/battery...

Help with BIOS update on Dell G15 5515 after chip replacement
            by capoplays
            Hey everyone,

I recently bought a Dell G15 5515 with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and 3060 RTX. The BIOS chip on it was dead, and my hardware guy replaced the chip. After that, everything was working fine.

The BIOS is currently at version 1.22.1, and I wanted to update it. I downloaded the latest BIOS version from Dell Support using my ST: FQZMYJ3, but when I tried to run it, it says "unsupported system." I asked my tech guy what he did, and he said he took the chip from another board and flashed it onto mine.

When I check the BIOS using the F12 menu Flash...
