    820-3437 motherboard acting weird.

    Hi there,

I have an 820-3437 motherboard which does not show any signs of life when using an OEM charger. But the magsafe light comes up when connected using a fake charger. While using a fake charger, the fan spins for may be 10 seconds and stops. Then the loop continues. Almost every power rail is up, but with 0.2-0.3 V drop. But I do not get a display, but sometimes does. While powered using the fake charger, the CPU seems to be burning hot. I got display at about 3 instances with the fake charger.

But with the OEM charger, no signs of life.

    Any advises?

CPU seems to be burning hot
Without a heatsink, this is normal.

Remain with the original charger only.

Start with the review of PPBUS_G3H and the PP3V42_G3H primary rails.

      Hi mon2,

The CPU seems to be overheating with the heat sink. I shall post the voltage shortly.

CPU is likely dead. Check the resistance to ground of the CPU power rail.

          Hi mon2,

Then how does it give you a display sometimes? Are you talking about CPU vcore?

            Magsafe issue: https://logi.wiki/index.php/Magsafe_Sleep_Mode
POST issue is probably unrelated though.

              Hi mon2,

              mon2

I found what the problem was. It was the 68k resistor in the pp3v42 circuit. I cant recollect what the part number is.

              Replacing it solved the problem.

Thank you for the help and guidance.

              Regards

my problem also solved with changing 68k resistor R7012😍

Lenovo T460 Only Charges on One Charger

                  Laptop Question
                  Hello,
I'm working on a Lenovo T460 that has been having trouble charging as of late. Its worked well since I've owned it for a few years. When I went to use it the other day it was dead and wouldn't turn on (was sitting on an Anker 65W GaN charger). After some fiddling with the charger I got it to turn on and start charging, but seemed like the charger was not working as it should (took a few plug and unplug cycles to get it to start charging).

A day later it was dead again and wouldn't boot/charge no matter what I did. No lights or anything when...

The ISL88739 & ISL88739AHRZ are a highly versatile combo battery charger
configurable for operating as either a Hybrid Power Boost (HPB)
charger or a Narrow VDC (NVDC) charger, supporting 2-, 3-, or

the adapter together to supply the system load when it exceeds
the adapter capability, referred to as system Turbo mode. HPB

Dell Inspiron 7567 LA-D993P odd charger issue
                  by Johndill
Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 7567 LA-D993P that I've just got running.
There was corrosion around PU1503 which shorted PC1518 & blew PL1504. (Reference pictures attached)
I've replaced PC1518 & PL1504 & the laptop is now running however I now have another issue.

                  Here are the tested scenarios:

                  1. With the laptop running on battery, I plug in the 150W charger & the charger shuts off (no LED, protection mode) but the laptop remains running on battery.

                  2. With the laptop off, plug in charger (LED says on) & the front charging...
