    Dell G5 5505 SE Shutdowns on Battery

    Having some issues with this dell gaming laptop, works perfectly fine with charger plugged in.

    Battery health is good, also tried with a new battery which is 93% healthy.

    On battery only will turn on but as soon as you put a load on it will completely shut down.

    Flashed latest bios, reset cmos etc software side seems fine.

    Any ideas?

    I noticed the two chips on the left get warm when plugged into charger, I assume responsible for charging battery.

    The chip on the right, hits about 45c when just using the battery. (No charger). Before it then shuts off.

    Is this normal?

      Check first your first and second mosfet for internal short . That is most common issue. How much voltage do you have on the gate from the first and second mosfet?
