    Macbook A1534

    Hello,
    I have a Macbook A1534 the 12 Inch Version.

The mac boots up fine till the Login Screen and then as we enter the password, the display shows lines and grids ( like an old television) and then the Machine just hangs and turns off eventually.

Tried with a known good screen. Same Issue.

    Could be a corrupt OS.

Try an internet boot to see if it is stable.

      You mean Internet Recovery?

Yes - just to see if the screen shows the graphics without corruption.

You can also try to boot a known good OS from USB as a test (or using your external hub).

nope. The apple logo is fine with the loading bar. But the graphics become weird after some point of time (assuming the internet recovery option came at that time).

Lemme try and disconnect the display cable and use an external display and see if i can load a new os here.

Update: Same Issue with the External Display (Internal Display Disconnected). Internet Recovery Starts but after sometime the Graphic goes haywire.

            You have a GPU failure.

What is the 820-xxxx number of the logic board?

With no power, meter in resistance mode -> Check the resistance to ground of each coil / inductor.

This is to confirm that each power rail is not shorted. If the GPU is not powered, this issue will follow.

It's 820-00045. All Coils seem fine. You want me to check any specific line ?

Will be CPU-related problem as always on A1534.

Sure? Should we try a CPU Re-Ball ?
