hi all I have this mac with a shorted ic cd3215, I unsoldered the short and it went away but it won't turn on with the other usb-c ports,
some pitches are missing and I wanted to ask if it is possible to switch on excluding the usb c ports managed by the 3215

To power by usb c ports, each cd3215 must be working. Then 20v power delivery contract can be negotiated.

Alternatively, you could try to power up with a charged battery. That may work.

couldn't i fool smc by making a bridge? the printing of a 3215 cd is damaged, many pads skipped, for the battery then it could not be recharged anyway

You should first test if a charged battery can run the board. You will have to charge the battery outside this logic board. Otherwise the cd3215 are required to charge the battery.

ok, this battery carries the flat that goes on the motherboard to be activated, with a bench power supply I could try but I don't know if it is then activated
