    AC unit

One of the first things to go on an airconditioning unit is the motor start cap.
    Coincidence?

      Re: AC unit

I'll tell a little story, sorry.

I was at a friends many years back watching game on nice sony tv.
One of the old Trinitrons, when suddenly the thing erupted with this
Huge cloud of gray white smoke blasting out the back.
I mean a lot of it, stained the wall and he freaked.
It was a big can passing gas and I expected game interuptus but, heres the good part,
the set continued working, perfect picture, no ripple, for many years.
Every time I ran into him I had to ask and yup still working .
Things are Not made like they used to be made.

Nescafe Aeroccino, still fails with new Motor (red flashes only once)
        by juergenb
        Hi,

i am asking for some Help.
I have one of these Nescafe Aeroccino (Milk Frother) things with a bad motor.
The Motor didn´t start anymore and internet is full of users just swapping the motor for a Mabuchi RF-500TB-12560.
So i got a few of these from Banggood.

I swapped the motor and now i have a new fault condition.

In a working Frother you would press the start button, it will light red and work for a few minutes.
If you press longer it will light blue and just mixup the milk.

With the new Motor it just starts...

Philips toothbrush 4100 (HX369BK) - motor getting hot
        by d00m178
trying to fix Philips toothbrush 4100 (HX369BK)
        The battery started draining quickly.
After disassembling it, I discovered that the motor gets very hot when brush is off, which is apparently causing the battery to lose charge.
The motor is connected to contacts M1 and M2.
When I turn on the brush, 0.4V appears on these contacts, and the motor starts running as expected.
But when I turn off the brush, the voltage changes to 3.8V—exactly the same as the battery.
The motor gets so hot you can't touch it. And after 5 minutes, the battery drains to 0V.
        (To...
