Thanks for the lead, I ordered the chips with the digi key and my three cameras came to life. I used hot air to replace it. One has been working in the cold for a month and is ok.

Please teach me how to find datasheets to obsolete caps
      by CdDvdFlash
I've got a Toei arcade CRT chassis and printed on the PCB is CM-R14 but it might be a CM-R20 and so far needs two caps replaced, I've looked on the Nippon Chemi-Con site and got their 2020 catalogue I cant find any info about the first cap in the catalogue or on their obsolete catalogue, on the cap is:

(Radial electrolytic cap) Nippon Chemi-Con 1uF 160v 85c 8mm diameter, roughly 15mm long (cap is bulging at the legs) with 6mm PCB hole spacing, the chassis service manual says this cap C58 is a CE04W with "04" in a smaller font than the capital "CEW" so it must be...

Data recovery on an old Samsung S4 Mini - Teach me some interesting electronics!
      by Ralphie
For a while now I have an old Samsung S4 Mini (GT-I9195) lying around. It doesn't boot at all, gives no response whatsoever. It has some data on it still that may be useful to me however (I don't really know, maybe some old photos). Anyway, mostly for the fun of it I want to try to get the data.

Now I'm not particularly skilled at working electronics, so actually fixing the device is something that probably will be quite difficult (if I want to do this myself). I don't even know where the problem is on the motherboard. It's probably some kind of chip that is broken, or a short on...

Using a scope to see fuel injector waveform?
      by madan1
      Hello folks.
What is the correct way to view the waveform of an injector ( petrol engine )?
I have one of those kit scopes and would like to hook it to a GM Ecotec engine and see the injector waveforms... so how should I connect it?
The injectors have constant B+ and the B-/ground goes through the control module/computer.
      Thanks in advance....

diy - voltage injection possiblity with voltage and ampere regulator - possiblity ?
      by playit
hello ,for diy voltage injector for short killer/finder -- is it possible to use something like this - LM317 DC Linear Regulator, DC-DC 4.5~40V Turn 1.2~37V, Step Down Power Module, Adjustable

and ampere controller along (to make it zero amps ) with some addons(transistors diodes etc.) for it -- and use some 5v adaptor or 3.3v volt rail of my smps power supply as input and finally get 1v and zero amps for injecting voltage to find out short circuit component ? ..
for source input -- can we use 3.3 -4 volt 18550 battery ?( i have some of those ) and then adding ampere regulator...

      hi

i am troubleshooting an old carvewright cnc machine

it powers on fine but when i test x y or z axis none of the axis will move and i just get axis stall fault

the history of this machine is bad..it was stored in a shed for about 15 years..its in bad shape lots of rust

i have been working on it mechanically for 2 days..li have gotten it all freed up and mechanically its all good

as i said it power up fine .and everyhting seems to function fine other than the x y z axis servo motors not powering on at all......i have dont...
